December 4, 2002 — Over on the forums of Box Office Report, a poster by the name of Chris Gonzalez posted a trailer description of Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd that was shown at a LOTR: TTT screening. Here is a quote from the thread:

At the LOTR:TTT screening they showed the trailer for Final Destination 2, and the prequel to Dumb and Dumber. There is no actual footage from the film.

It goes like this:

It starts off with the definition of "dumb", the definition of "dumber" and the definition of "dumberer".

When it gets to "dumberer" it says for example: making a prequel to the movie Dumb and Dumber.

Then big word fly towards the screen that say the title: Dumb, Dumber, and Dumberer- When Harry met Floyd

And then you hear the recognizable laugh that Floyd has in the background. Summer 2003."
