Excuse me please allow me to chime in: In this day and age, and with the world in the state that it in I think it's VERY important for everyone to know that one of the greatest conquerors was BLACK! He invaded and destroyed Italy and many other areas we now refer to as Europe.
We are constantly being forced listen to and endure all the great accomplishments of many other cultures and demographics. Being very honest every demographic race has their fare share of success stories and significant individuals. So why is it so wrong for black people to demand that one of their greatest be recognized for his accomplishments? This true story is one that should be told and retold for generations to come.
Lets face it Hannibal and his men did some serious damage to Rome. So much so, Rome felt the need to seek revenge on Carthadge to ensure that they will never be able to invade Rome again. In my eyes that is fear!! But what we always hear and read about was how GREAT the Roman Empire was. In my opinion the Roman army would never have been so great if they didn't have Hannibal to push them to that level. The almighty Roman Empire was scared of a BLACK Man and his army of BLACK MEN. PERIOD! By the way, that BLACK MAN and his army had their way with so many women inside Italy that to this day you can still find traces of African DNA in the blood of 90% of all true Italians. That's some strong African blood in those Italians. That is a very important fact for the entire world to know, but most Italians would rather hide it!!!
My only real issue with this entire scenario is I am not sure Vin Deisel should've been casted for the role to play Hannibal. I would have looked for someone more afro centric, like Djimon Hounsou that played in the Amistad movie. Basically a really dark skinned actor whom is clearly Black. Not like Vin (who is a descent actor) who's heritage has been the subject of numerous debates.

It's extremely unlikely that he was black. But even if he was SO WHAT?

Honestly people, there are more than just African (the natrual conception of an African) and Caucasian in the world, and I believe that Hannibal was neither.
And really, if you look at statues and paintings of Hannibal (made when he was alive), he almost seemed to have a very Roman look about him. Is this proof that he wasn't African? No, but you can't just turn a blind eye to them because they contradict what you think.
