July 11, 2003 — Pirates of the Caribbean past the $24 million mark on its second day of release before an opening weekend which sure to add another $60 million.
The $13 million Wednesday opening was followed up with $10.8 million for Thursday, down just 20% on its opening day. With excellent word of mouth, watch for this one to continue over the summer.
