September 28, 2002 — The Pirates of the Caribbean production held a Green Light Party, where the movie was introduced to several studio employees, and distinguished guests. During the party, Director Gore Verbinski gave an outline of the film. The movie will include familiar elements from the ride as well as a supernatural curse, a maiden's rescue, a romance, secret hidden treasure, and finally, a climactic sea battle between the pirates and the British Navy.
