In the cave when Jack is proposing to Barboosa that he will sail under Barboosa's colors if he is named Captain of the Pearl and they dicker over Barboosa's take (25%) and Barboosa says "we have an accord". So Jack has agreed but then takes up swords against Barboosa. So, technically, doesn't that make him a mutineer? Share your thoughts.

hmm... good question.. I don't think he did, because Jack never meant to honor the deal he made with Barbosa. It was just a trick to get Barbosa to think he was on his side, right?

No, technically all Jack did was get into a duel with Barbossa... the crew from Tortuga stole the Black Pearl from the cursed pirates, then gave it to Jack. He didn't actually steal the ship himself. Even if he did, I think it's okay to steal back a ship that was stolen from you... seems like something that would be supported by "the code", savvy?
