I was wondering if any of you out there have ever had to clean your DVD player, and if so, how you could tell it needed cleaning.

The reason I ask is for some reason my PotC DVD picture fades from REALLY bright to REALLY dark (and not just during the movie, on the menu screen and all other features). I am PANICKING! I tried playing PotC on my computer, and it doesn't do it.

I also tried playing a different movie in my DVD player, and it doesn't do it either.

I am STUMPED!!!! If this had happened to any of you, I would REALLY appreciate some advice! Thanks!

Thanks!

Actually, somebody on another board helped me out with this one... it was happening because I had my DVD player hooked up through my VCR (it's some kind of copyright protection thing so that you can't copy your DVD). I got it fixed, so now I can watch PotC without any problems!
