October 13, 2003 — Apparently, after rumors of several actors being slated to co-star with Kidman, Will Ferrell is now in talks to portray Darrin.

It has also been reported that the film version will differ from the television show. The film is said to be about "a witch from another world who lands on Earth to escape her family" and "takes a job on a TV show about a witch who falls in love with a normal man."
