You can read the first chapter of Artemis Fowl:The Opal Deception at eoincolfer.com

It is acknowledged that there is a huge canon of literature in the world, and one person cannot possibly ruin it.

Every hero is on a journey to find his place in the world.it is a JOURNEY, you don't start at the end, otherwise they can't make a movie about it later." - Ando

The Doctor and Rose; it's basically a love story without the shagging.

Yay!!!! I'm so glad there's going to be another one. It couldn't have ended like that.

HP and Artemis Fowl are on my list as well!
I haven't read Pendragon yet so I'll give that a shot next.
The other bookes on my list are:
Ark Angel- Alex Rider series
Eldest- Inheritance Trilogy

So many great books but so little time to read them in!

You guys have great taste in books! I have to check out all of those. This year is so great for book releases; so many great books to read, and you're right...so little time considering Artemis 4 comes out two weeks before my final college exams! So unfair!
The sequel to Inkheart should also be out later in the year. If you haven't read that, i urge you to check it out!

Eeps! Sorry, I only just read your reply! If I had seen it early I definetely would have replied! Apparently Inkheart will be part of a trilogy, the next book will be called Inkblood, and the final one Inkdeath. I read this information in an interview with the author which can be found here: Inkheart Interview

She says in that interview that it'll be out in October, but I haven't heard any news about it since then and this interview was done ages ago so I don't know!
Looking forward to the movie of the book as well.
If you haven't already, come over to CountingDown's Inkheart page. There is only about two of us there at the moment.

Just to correct myself, the second book will be called Inkspell not Inkblood

You can read the first 4 at artemisfowl.com. You need to beat the decoder game. But it seems to be missing a few lines at the second chapter.

hehe (skuffs ground guiltly with toe of boot) sorry about the threats. that's just how I get about the next book in a series. Have any of you read Lionboy? very good. I'm about to read the second. I want to read eldest, and I am praying that there will be another Arty, though that's almost garenteed, considering is you read the last page, it says " more to follow . Art lovers all over the world certainly hope so."
Ahem; Art, Artemis?!?!?
(please let my logic be right)
has anyone actually heard anything about a next Artemis Fowl?
