The movie has been having casting and scheduling conflicts so there for it will be at least 2006 before it is released the current casting according to studio execs is as follows
Butler- Vin Diesel
Juliet - Hillary Duff
Artemis- as yet uncast
Holly Short- as yet uncast

If nothing is impossible then slam a revolving door

Hilary Duff is NOT going to make a good Juliet. If it wasn't for the fact that it is Artemis Fowl, I would not see it in theatres or EVER. And when ARE they going to figure out who is going to do Arty? I mean, it's not as if they've been rushed or anything. I mean they've had, what, three BLOODY years to figure it out.

I pretty sure that you can't beleive any casting rumours that you hear at this time. We haven't even heard any script or solid studio news yet, so it is way to early to start attaching cast members. Particulary ones like Hilary Duff. I'll beleive that when i see it, and perhaps not even then. According to an interview that Eoin Colfer did with the BBC about a month ago, Artemis Fowl is still being planned as a movie along with a few other of his books including the great 'Supernaturalists' which if you haven't read already, should definetely check out!

Yeah, I seriously doubt they've cast anyone, and that casting would be awful! But honestly, I'm taking that with a grain of salt b/c the chances of it being true are slim to none. And Tom Felton's like 18! There's no way he'd be able to play a 12-year-old. Maybe he would've been ok a few years ago, but I think that ship has sailed. At this point, I just want a concrete release date!
