Two of Warner Bros' comic book based projects set for 2010 also have been given release dates with DC Comics' Western character Jonah Hex, starring Josh Brolin, getting a release date of August 6, 2010, and Martin Campbell's take on the DC superhero Green Lantern set for release on December 17, 2010

A Christmas release? I'm sure there will be some family favourite put out that same weekend that will eat away at much of the takings, especially seeing as Green Lantern is lesser known then DC powerhouses Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, even the flash.

To me it would have made ore sense to release Green Lantern in the summer and put Jonah Hex in the November/December period.

And it looks likely that family Christmas release will be Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
