Bad news!
New Zealand certainly has a lot to account for, as the top two movies for the last week were shot in the country by natives of the land. Last weekend, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, directed by Andrew Adamson, dropped over 50% with the opening of Universal Pictures' remake of King Kong, directed by New Zealand's better known export Peter Jackson. In the last few days, "Narnia" had been picking up steam, grossing more than "Kong" both on Wednesday and Thursday. Yesterday, Disney's big screen version of C.S. Lewis' classic added 173 more theaters, putting it in over 300 more than "Kong," and it topped the charts Friday with roughly $8.22 million, a mere $60,000 ahead of King Kong. Of course, it's far too early to determine how Christmas Eve and Christmas Day may affect either movie, but it certainly looks like King Kong will be dropping more from last week than "Narnia" does, and it will be a horserace for the top spot over Christmas weekend.

I just couldn't do it, that pic was making me sick to my stomach. And to all those who kept calling me a racist, never again should you direct a comment in my direction again. You can all go to Hell for all I care.

He does not like Kong so of course he thinks that is good news. Well Kong proved the victor in the match by 1 million. It tumbled 57% for the three day weekend and 37% for the four day weekend (the one that is ultimately counted ebcause of Christmas eve. and because it is a holiday weekend) so I think it did pretty damn good. Better then Narnia in it's second week.
