The first trailer for director Stephen Sommers' 'Van Helsing' starring Hugh Jackman is now officially set for release in theaters this coming Friday attached to 'Along Came Polly', as well as hitting Apple's website that same day (thanks to the crew over at Jackman's Landing for that scoop). Meanwhile, a scooper for Aint It Cool News seems to have seen the footage itself - here's what he had to say:

I saw the VAN HELSING trailer over the Weekend (it hits theatres this Friday) and let me just say that it's "Indiana Jones" meets "The Tomb of Dracula". You will wet your pants at the tease this trailer provides. Beautiful, gothic and epic, all at the same time. The effects, although not yet finished, look fantastic! wait till you see the Wolfman and Hugh go at it in mid-air over pit of fire! It's only 1 minute 32 seconds.

Let's hope both the trailer and the movie itself live up to the hype!
