August 13, 2002 — The Philippine Daily Inquirer talked to actor Cesar Montano:
CESAR Montano's Nokia 6210 rings. He checks the caller ID and says, "It's Bruce Willis."
Then he asks his son Angelo to take the call. "Tell him I'm busy."
Right now, a Hollywood actor calling up Cesar is no longer such a far-out idea. These days, Cesar is on a first-name basis with the likes of Benjamin Bratt and Joseph Fiennes, his costars in the Hollywood movie, "The Great Raid," now being filmed in Brisbane, Australia.
"I couldn't believe it, even when I was already there," said Cesar who was in town last week for a break after more than a month of filming in Brisbane.
Cesar returned to Australia Saturday night for another two months of filming, under director by John Dahl.
Cesar plays Capt. Juan Pajota, the leader of the Filipino guerilla force that fought with American troops in the Philippines during World War II.
