I first heard of this movie through a preview at Matrix3 (which i saw on opening day). That first teaser blew me away! From then on I went to the site which wasnt updated for SO LONG (right after i saw the teaser until spring).
I thought, "ok, w/e, thats good, they are workin on the movie, and not just B.S. on the site"
So i see all these AWESOME screenshots, and sweet-ass wallpaper, which you all too have i imagine. this got me so hyped for the movie, tellin my friends, my, bro, etc.
a couple bad reviews got me worried, but i though, "oh, thats crap, critics nevr like cool movies."
THEN I SAW THE MOVIE
went with three friends and my bro
lol, halfway through the movie we look at each other sayin, "ya, those action sceens were sweet, but we saw all that **** in the trailer, wtf man."
of the action, just a bit mroe of the LA-tornadoes were in teh movie. all teh good NYC and foreign parts were all in the previews.
As for the plot................
.........well i would imagine they are still working on it, putting it togeter, or somethin.......because it wasnt in the movie.
i SOOOO wanted it to be good, and tried SOOOOO hard to keep in it, but it just got more far-fetched, and harendous.
i mean, what was teh point of dennis quaid going for hsi son, when teh hlicopter got tehm all in teh end, and as for how UNBELIVABLY fast he got there through walking later on........come on, what crap
i havent seen worse acting from anyone ina big budget film in awhile as i did through Sela Ward, especially in that "are you okay pary, and shes all, Saaaaaam, omg"
get out, that was terrible, go back to commercials.

The point of him going to go get his son, was because helicopters were NOT planning on going back to NY to find any survivors. They were just trying to get all of the people down to Mexico who were living in the South already. So i'm sure Dennis would think that helicopters wouldnt waste their time going to NY to look for survivors, when theres the HUGE possibilty there are none? And then they would have wasted the time they could have used evacuating the people right? And he made it there over a course of time, it just LOOKED like it was fast. And image if you you were a person who was always walking around like Alaska and stuff in the snow, then the trip would be pretty easy for you wouldnt it, so you would be able to do it somewhat fast.
Now I wonder what his evil/genius mind is thinking... who cares right?, that picture is SEXY! hahaha
