Well it was bound to happen one day. But I wouldn't worry to much about New York City because the filmmakers approved this message:

Oh, and the reason I wouldn't worry about New York City is because, if it were to happen, no gigantic tidal wave would hit it unexpectedly. At least it would give New Yorkers time to evacuate.

Here from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Instutute (peeps who discovered the titanic). They also supoprt the general theory of the thermohaline circuilation slowing down/stopping. This is a very reputable source...

All of this will probably take 10-50 years for an ice age of this magnitude to happen... So DAT does have scientific credibility...

How can you compare some unscientific prediction of tidal waves hitting NYC with the thermohaline circulation shutting down have and causing an ice age. This is has credible instututions reaserching and supporting the general theory... not some crackpot who had a "dream" from "god" or whoever that tidal waves were going to hit NYC in 2000? What is this profound logic?
