| Spirited Away wins at the 'Golden Satellite Awards' |
SUBMITTED BY uruseiranma January 13, 2003 — On January 12, 2003, Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away was awarded the Golden Satellite Award's honor of Best Motion Picture-Animated or Mixed Media, for 2003. The Japanese animated masterpiece beat out such heated contenders like 'Ice Age' and 'Lilo & Stitch.' This award, along with a slew of other top honors from the past few months, makes 'Spirited Away' a synch for being nominated for this year's Oscar for 'Best Animated Film.' |
