| How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... |
|
| When I stood at the Box Office and bought tickets for 'Wrong Turn' instead of '2 Fast 2 Furious' I knew I was making a mistake. But I sucked up my pride and sat down, about to watch one of the best horror flicks I had ever seen. The entire movie was an uneasy rollercoaster of terror until the shattering and terrifying finish. Successful horror movies today are relished by the things that are hinted...but not seen. 'The Ring' is a perfect example of this, it was successful because the thing that scared us most, was what we didn't see. We were so used to the tiring genre of monsters and serial killers that the supernatural just sort of clicked, but 'Wrong Turn' is the hugely anticipated turning point in this tiring genre. With the mastered cinematography and script writing in this film, it brings back the horror we all know and love. Great acting is also what is needed, and 'Wrong Turn' hit the spot with their casting. Hot stars with hot bods...that is definitely a plus on my part, but that's besides the point. 'Wrong Turn' brings back the horror we all thought ended, back when the 'slasher' era began and sorely ended. It proves that horror can still achieve the one thing that all movies nowadays lack: hardcore entertainment with true appreciation from the audiences watching. |
