Brendan Fraser tells Moviehole that there's no firm plans for another "Mummy" sequel at this stage - and if the last film was indeed the end of the franchise he'll be very sad to say ta-ta to it.
''Ill miss that character'', Fraser tells the site. ''Maybe Rick can go to be reincarnated into something else. But I really enjoyed playing that character. And if not, some version of it. Thats what Ill say.''
''Im not done with that guy. I had a great come on. That was great. That was just flat-out fun. Dont tell anybody, but I really enjoyed it. I had a great, great time. Big toys to play with. And on top of that, its a crowd-pleaser. It never pretended to be anything it ever wasnt. It was a straight-ahead entertainment. You dont like it, then go watch something else, okay? Go sneak into Men in Black II, or whatever it is thats playing at the theatre next door. We never took it seriously. The first one, I remember Rachel was panicked. Oh my God. Theyre going to confiscate our Screen Actors Guild cards. No, Our Equity cards. Here, Im doing bad impressions", he laughs.
Don't be surprised if Rick is indeed reincarnated for a fourth "Mummy" movie - it made a nice bag of loot last year.
I wouldn't lose any sleep if there wasn't a 4th one, I still haven't seen Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
