The Mindhunter's teaser apparently fronted Matrix in a few theatres this week.

If you've read the script, the scene featured is early in film when the trainees are profiling others in the bar for fun and then there is a brief plot description about their being sent to a deserted island for training and one by one they get killed off and realize that one of them is the killer.

I finally saw the trailer. It was attached to Bad Santa at the theatre I went to (and no I didn't see Bad Santa) - the theatre mgr. called and tipped me.

The trailer is pretty standard in what you would expect in a 'thriller who done it'. It wasn't top drawer but it was good. Plus, I'll admit to watching it purely to see Will Kemp first time on the big screen, so I was perhaps a bit distracted.

In any case, it's maybe 2 minutes long, and as I said earlier, opens in a bar with them profiling barflies for fun. The clip is very dark and grainy, and as it moves along, the shots get quicker and tighter, the soundtrack more intense as the characters realize they are being hunted, the killer is one of them and there is no escape.

Judging from this clip alone, even though I've read the script and the element of surprise is gone for me, and let's say Will were not in it, it comes across as good popcorn fare and I would go see it.

Yeah, I saw it on Bad Santa too, it looked ok. Bad Sants was hilarious though.
