Bruce Almighty “Better Than Expected” — katydid [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... When you turn on the TV and see the same add for the same movie every single time, it is a fair bet that the movie will not be somethig that you want to see. Yet, I found that when my freindd dragged me to see Bruce Almighty, that there was an exception to my rule. This movie is funny, entertaining and smart . I found myself laughing along with the rest of the theater at very frequent intervoles during the film and I have to admitt the sight gags are one of a kind. Though these are funny, they are not the glue that holds this movie together. The strongest point of Bruce Almighty is Jim Carrey. Of course he is good actor and this film is nothing less or more than expected of him, but his on screen act brings thte brigter side to all comedy and makes movies that probably would have been a flop other wise, worth while.
