October 18, 2002 — Indie Director Sara Sugarman, who directed several indie features, including "Very Annie Mary" and "Mad Cows", is in early negotiations to helm Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. Based on the Dyan Sheldon novel, "Drama Queen" will star Hilary Duff as a New York teenager who reinvents herself when she is forced to move to a New Jersey suburb.
