Remember last year when Ben Affleck was telling every man and his dictaphone that he was set to, or had just finished doing a cameo in "Elektra"?
You were probably as interested as I was when BF didn't show up in proceedings.
MovieHole got an answer today on that from a reliable source at Rupert's camp. The FOX insider tells me that Affleck did indeed film a cameo, appearing as "Daredevil" red-head Matt Murdock in a dream sequence, but once "Jen and Ben announced they were having a relationship, the studio got nervous and trimmed him out of the picture".
Nervous? Yep, seems they were a bit concerned about people perceiving the film as another "Gigli", an excuse for two love-birds to work on something together, and immediately cut all ties to the Poker champ. "I don't think anyone was that disapointed he didn't show up in the movie, were they?" , the insider asks.
Be interesting to see whether they restore the scene for the DVD.
