So, they showed the F/X 3 hour special event of Spider-Man 2 hailing it as Director Sam Raimi's Cut with New Footage and More Story. While i was watching, i didnt see any new footage or more story. I was just wondering, did i miss anything or was there some new stuff throughout that even the most keen spotter could have missed? I was just wondering because i was all excited for an extended experience and when it was over, i felt short changed. Anyone else feel the same or know of any extra footage i missed? If so, please tell me. I also felt the preview of "Spider-Man 3" was a let down for it was all stuff that we have seen. If theyre going to advertise it as a sneak peak made exclusively for F/X, id want to see somethign exclusive. I just felt the night was a little bit of a disappointment, even if it was an awesomely great movie, when they say somethings extended, i want to be able to notice

Good, than it wasnt just me. That made me mad because i was really looking forward to seeing an extended/directors cut but ended up seeing the same version that i have on DVD. If i wanted to see the exact same version, i wouldve just popped in my DVD. Please, help me out, if you noticed any changes or additions, will you please let me know because if not, the whole "extended cut" was a missrepresentation and was missleading which is wrong. I heard that there was like a new 5 minute scene with MJ, didnt see it. A couple seconds added to the clock tower and train fight, didnt see them. If this is the version that theyre releasing in April, "Extended?" I wont buy it because i want an extended version thats noticeable, not the same version that i already have.

U must not B feeling me when FOX talks about a special 3 hour limited edition directors cut. Only speacial Eyez get 2 C tha sneek peak!!All ya get iz a little taste, leaving your mouth left wet, so U want 2 come back 4 more. OK, So callin it xtended footage iz pushing it. should have called it xtended inchage, but since itz a big showcase 2 begin with, may az well call it xtended footage. Tha bottom line iz itz a huge movement, and I think web head getz tha last dance!

Nah, I've seen Franco's mask mechanism somewhere on the web before. I believe it was YouTube.

I was hella disappointed last night. I mean, I had bought a tape for this very event sometime two weeks ago, and not only was there nothing new added to Spider-Man 2, but the trailer was a complete ripoff. I was AT LEAST expecting a finished version of that leaked ComicCon Venom footage following the 'May 4th' at the end, but as always, no freakin' dice. Ah well, at least I came out of the crappy experience with a door prize: a VHS of Spider-Man 2 with a bevy of commercials for 'Dirt' and an SM3 trailer that I've seen thirty times before.

i felt cheated too, but i did notice a minute of extra diolouge in the MJ/Peter fence scene, and the rest of the special, I was waiting for the rest, but it never came. about the trailer, i noticed two new shots of sandman, WOW, exclusive, but if you think about it, it did have exclusive SP3 footage and extended SP2 scenes

Yeah, i noticed those sandman shots too. by the way, does anyone know where i can see that trailer that came on at the end of Spider-Man 2

Alright I Was Dissapointed Like You Guys, But There Were a Few Few Seconds Extra I Noticed.

BOLD = New

1. Like Mentioned Before. Peter/ MJ Fence Sccene. After MJ Questioning Peter, "Oh Boy What?, Sometimes It's Hard to Say Something When It Just Can't Come Out , Do You Want To Say Something Pete?"

2. After MJ and Peter Talk on the Fence Scene, MJ, "Don't Dissapoint Me." Peter said, " I Won't" MaryJane Is Seein' Going Back To Her House Then Showing Peter Standing Quiet By The Fence.

3. Peter Is Seein' Riding His Bike To His Apartment Before He Walks up the Stairs.

Just Saying I Saw Rip-Off Changes if That Was What They Were Talking About.

Changes = Few Sec.

Haha, no kidding. Dont get me wrong, any Extended in the sense is great, but they were marketing, "New Footage, More Story." Now tell me, how does under a minute of new footage, qualify as "More Story?" Isnt story, soemthing to do with the overall plot? A few secodns dosent add much. Is it even missed if its gone. The "Extended Lord of the Rings" movies were totally different movies and its just a shame that that wasnt the case for "Spider-Man 2." Now, theyre planning on releasing an Extended "Spider-Man 2" in April to coincide with "Spider-Man 3" and if this is the version that theyre planning on relasing on DVD, im not going to buy it, unless it has mind-blowing DVD Bonus Features. You know what i mean.

Who Knows , Maybe The DVD Version Might Have The Different Story.
