Well wouldn't the Lizard be a logical choice? Then about midway through the movie, Harry Osborn could become the Green Goblin....this would be good because the franchise has yet to have Spidey fight a tandem of villains.Or even furthermore, ala Ultimate Spiderman, Curt Connors could develop the symbiote from a Spiderman blood sample. If this happened, not only could you go either the Venom and/or Carnage route in Spiderman 4 (if there is one), but you could effectively slip it in during the Spiderman 3 storyline developments. One thing is for sure, if Raimi wanted to use a symbiote in the 4th movie, he needs to pick either Carnage or Venom, not both. Also, the 3rd installment needs to set the symbiote up, with a similar clifhanger at the end.

if there is a fourth movie i think both venom and carnage could b in it carnage was created when he met venom so its either both or just venom. Plus in spiderman 2 jon jamasons space shuttle meaning that the symbiote could b on it.

This must be some strange new usage of the word logical that I wasn't previously aware of.

Of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

id rather see venom in spider man 4 and not see carnage at all, have carnage end up in a venom spin off or carnage end up in sm6, like the last spider man movie that will be made, cause ud need a movie to actually set up the plot using the maxium carnage storyline,
