Anticipation Level:
How excited (or not) I am to see this movie...
What a colossal disappointment I am a huge martial art movie buff/fan and Blade has always hit home for meh more then Matrix ever has and going to see blade today seriously disapointed meh.

There is a decent review of the new blade movie Here

Altho, it fails to mention how flippn weak ALL the vampires are in the movie. Not only weak but they all act like immature high school rejects....
Doesnt mention the LONG boring sequences b4 actually getting to some of the (much rarer then the other blade movies) fight scenes. Even Dracula, the BOSS of the movie is weak, runs like a girl, picks on some stupid Goths in a store, hides behind babies and dies like a bitch in a very anti climatic final scene.

The movie is more about Whistlers daughter (and I think she has the most fight scenes) then about Blade, you know the MAIN character of the whole flippn BLADE franchise! WTH.
I expected the 2 new characters (I guess as the move shows, they are main characters instead of blades sidekicks) would have kewl weps and be able to fight vamps. But um. They are NOT vampires themselves so how does this lil skinny girl take on all these baddies TOE TO TOE/Hand to Hand like she is Blade without sending her flying or even getting a scratch the whole movie? Um Ok whatever.

Sub story plots flying all over the place, > of which you could cut entirely from the movie and it would actually flow better as they are boring, pointless and have nothing to do with anything.

Only thing going for the movie are a couple of kewl fight scenes with blade (You can watch the first battle of the opening of the movie then just leave cuz it is the best one), there are also some kewl weps and some really good special effects (to bad there where not more fight scenes to check em out in). There is a lot of humor in the movie but it goes back and forth, sometimes really funny and othertimes canned or just plain dry and poorly scripted.

Wesly himself wrote a 5 page COMPLAINT during the filming which can be summarized from this snippet:

[ September 30, 2004 The LA Times looks at what happened behind the scenes of Blade: Trinity:
On the set of Blade: Trinity the actor's relationship with writer-director David Goyer was so contentious that in January, after the film had wrapped, Snipes wrote a five-page letter to New Line Cinema's co-chairman and founder, Bob Shaye, complaining about his treatment on the film. The letter, on stationery labeled "From the Desk of Dr. Wesley T. Snipes," outlined Snipes' concern that his character, Blade, had been sidelined in favor of "two new `younger' characters," played by Jessica Biel and Ryan Reynolds.
"As I recall, the movies are titled Blade and Wesley Snipes is the actor/artist that brought the comic book character to life," read the letter. ]
