October 6, 2004 — Ryan Reynolds spoke to IGN Filmforce about the possibility of a spin-off of a Nightstalkers film:

"Yeah, Jess [Biel] and I both signed on for one more, so it's definitely a possibility. You know, if there's a Blade 4 it would be with Wesley and I think only Wesley, but if there's a Nightstalkers movie, I think it would be a separate thing. It's also a separate comic book. There's just been some push and pull to that. The people that watch Blade love Wesley Snipes and that's the character and that character should be honored so, if they did a spin-off, yes, it would just be exclusively the Nightstalkers and have nothing to do with Blade. I don't even think they'd be shooting vampires or anything, according to David Goyer. But David Goyer and I really want to work together on something... It would have to be him [directing Nightstalkers]. He made a blood pact with me that he would have to do it, because I don't want to do it without him."
