Imageworks Tim Sarnoff To Attend iHollywood's 'Digital Studio Summit'

Tim Sarnoff, Sony Pictures Imageworks President; Stan Winston, one of Hollywood's foremost creators of creatures; Bryan Carroll, Titanic visual effects editor; and Karen Goulekas, Visual Effects Supervisor in The Day After Tomorrow and Spider-Man will headline iHollywood Forum's 'Digital Studio Summit' coming this November 2, 2004. Details follow!

iHollywood Forum, Inc. recently announced its lineup of entertainment industry legends at "The Digital Studio," a summit and showcase focusing on digital technology and how it is transforming the film and TV industry. The third annual summit takes place as part of the American Film Market, AFM, on November 2, 2004, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Monica Laemmle Theatre, 1332 2nd Street, Santa Monica, California.

Industry headliners include (but is not limited to) the following Academy Award(R)-winning visual effects and computer animation visionaries:

7 Sony Pictures-Imageworks President Tim Sarnoff. He is responsible for the direction and management of the facility, which includes Oscar nominations for its work on Spider-Man, Hollow Man, Stuart Little and Starship Troopers and was winner of the 2003 Oscar(R) for the CG animated short film The ChubbChubbs. Other notable credits include Spider-Man 2, Big Fish, Bad Boys II, Stuart Little 2, Cast Away and Contact.

7 Multiple Academy Award winner Stan Winston. He is one of Hollywood's foremost creators of creatures, the common denominator linking some of cinema's most innovative and accomplished character designs. Winston has won four Academy Awards and has been nominated for nine. He received Oscar nominations for Aliens, Predator, Edward Scissorhands, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Jurassic Park, Batman Returns and The Lost World. He won for Aliens, two for Terminator 2: Judgment Day for Best Make-Up and Best Visual Effects and his fourth Oscar for fashioning the live-action dinosaurs in Jurassic Park.

7 Karen Goulekas, whose Visual Effects Supervisor credits include: The Day After Tomorrow, Spider-Man, The Fifth Element, Eight Legged Freaks, Godzilla, Titanic, Apollo 13, True Lies, Terminator 2: 3-D and Last Action Hero.
