Since Mr. Schwarzenegger probobly will not be availiable, I suggest a remake, and re-kindling of the franchise. Try set set up a deal with Kurt Busiek and Cary Nord, the guys who do the current comic book and get them involved. And take certain steps leading into production.

Find a new actor to play the character, try to cast relatively young so sequels may be optioned, the actor must physicallt fit the role, one of the few roles you might find where the look is more important than the acting itself.

Find a strong supporting cast, like how it was done in Batman Begins, casting a relative unknown ( Christian Bale ) but surrounding him with strong talent in minor supporting roles.

Go back to the origin, this isn't completely nessecary but there is a new audience today that may not lnow who conan is.

Find a very compitent director, some one like Peter Jackson. I know he probobly wouldn't helm the film but before the Lord of the Rings trilogy he was relatively unknown.

Find a good writer, don't try to pass the movie off as a fantasy spectacle with a B-movie script.

Good practical and computer generatd effects, though for my money they should try to do it more practical, only using CG to enhance the practical effect.

With all of these things taken care of a new Conan franchise could be well on its way.

(Insert witty phrase here)
