| How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... |
|
The blockbuster of the year, no doubt. Now when The Lord of the rings trilogy is over you start to miss these kind of movies. Troy have epical proportions, but the book got much more than battlescenes, intrigues, divine interventions ,faith and the gods of Olymph playing chess with the armies.
The well fed audiens cant see the forest cause of the tree`s. To actually have story in historical warmovies, but the audiens complains when it is the opposite to. What are we passive wreks. We should only watch and enjoy.
Against the horizon we see this giant fleet, it is the most important battle of all time, and what are we think about: will the damn popcorn hold out. Honey do you got the carkeys? People doesnt understand that this is important it has actually happened, Troy have existed and all the heroes to. We are to spoiled cause of the adventure/specialeffectsm ovies so when a historical movie comes around we just wonder were Shrek and Harry Pottub is.
The actors are great and Brad Pitt is underestimated as Akhilleus. Eric Bana is perfect as Hektor and Brian Cox and Peter OToole is great as old warmachines.
The effects at battlescenes are realistic and the duels sharp. Some stuff from the book are missing but the whole is gargantual.
My rating is 5 of 5.
