| How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... |

i was hoping this movie would be the first great movie of the summer, expecially since i was somewhat disappointed with VAN HELSING. unfortunatly, my hopes were shot down after seeing just the first half hour of this picture. I never talk during movies but during this one i was like one of those guys from mystery science theater. not very engrossing at all.
orlando bloom- ive always thought he was a bad actor, and this is the most convincing proof yet. Simply dreadful, its good hes only a fad and i wont have to watch him in 2-4 years (hopefully). he plays basically the same character in this movie as he did in PIRATES, so if u found that character really annoying think twice before seeing this movie.
eric bana- dont have any problems with him. He did the part of Hector very well. (spoiler ahead)[SPOILER] probably the only character in the movie that i had any simpathy for when he died. [/SPOILER]
brad pitt- fairly good as achilles. he plays the warrior part well, but when it comes to being a leader of men it seems rather unnatural for him.
old guy that played agamemnon(or however its spelled)- did a good job. i cant imagine the role being significantly better without a script change.
old guy that played king of troy- a good actor, just sorta creepy lookin. sorta irrelevant but i was watchin the movie and all of a sudden think, dang that guys weirding me out.
helen- i just thought she was a lame character in the movie. boring really.
priestess/acolyte girl- did well, i dont remember this character being in the epic poem, but then again i dont remember a lot of things.
i recomend to most to wait for this movie to come out on video, or just dont see it at all. Its very boring and not worth 9 bucks in my opinion. the only people i can imagine really enjoying this film are preteen boys who like any r-rated movie with swords that they can sneak into. oh, and orlando bloom or brad pitt fans.
