Burrows Talks 'Troy'

SUBMITTED BY Stephanie

February 21, 2004 — Empire Magazine had a quick chat the delightful Saffron Burrows about the upcoming movie Troy, where she stars as 'Andromache'.

Spoiled as we will soon be for skirt-sporting Grecian heroes, it's the stars of Troy that are currently the pick of the bunch. Colin Farrell may set a few hearts beating (despite his girly hair) in Alexander but it's Orlando Bloom, Brad Pitt and Eric Bana who make up the triumvirate of Trojan talent on show in Wolfgang Petersen's epic - and yes, we're well aware that Brad Pitt's character is Greek.

Saffron Burrow would doubtless agree, playing the character of Andromache she's engaged in a whole lot of flirting and eye-fluttering with Bana's Hector. "Our love is entirely uncorrupted," she told us at the Sony Ericsson Empire Awards. "Hector is played by Eric Bana so to act with him, and Peter O'Toole as my father in law and Orlando Bloom as my brother in law well, you've just got this fantastic family setup. I think they've done an amazing adaptation. It's very intelligently written I don't think it's cutting any corners."
