There's a lot of dialogue connected to honor and dishonor in this film. However, one sequence puzzled me, and it can only be because of honor.
Achilles dishonors Hector's body by dragging him away with his chariot. Pretty awful.
It makes me wonder why the heck they didn't then pincushion him, since we'd already seen that he was well within range of the archers on the walls.

I NOTICED THAT TOO!!! AGH!!!

I mean, there were like a jillion archers there. They could have all just aimed at him and brought him down. But I guess that's not the rules.

Well, yeah, he had a goddess for a mom, could see the Gods without getting all burnt and crispy, and he's partially immortal himself...

Yeah, Ros, I'm pretty sure it was honor. Plus, the Trojans were terrified of Achilleus. In the Iliad, Achilleus chases all of the Trojans back into the city while Hektor stays to face him, even though he too runs away from Achilleus when he realizes it's just him. They circle the city wall three times and then duel and since it was their duel, it would be very dishonorable and tick off the Gods if an archer shot Achilleus down right afterwards. Although, the Gods were pretty ticked when dishonored Hektor by dragging him around, which is why Zeus decided it was time to punch Acheilleus's check-out card.

I think it was awe of Achilles, and a wish
not to aggravate him further. Achilles
had a vicious temper that made him hard
for even his allies to get on with. He had
also just beaten Hector in a one-on-one.
He had a private grief, and had acted in
personal vengeance. Up until that point,
Achilles had not been involved in the
Trojan war.

Does anyone think that Hector's death was horrible or was there any other death of someone that looked horrible on the screen?

I wouldn't want to die the way Hector died 'cos I was shocked when I saw Achillies who dragged Hector's body back to the camp. That was so mean - really.

i didnt think it was honorable of Hector to Kill Menelaus during Paris and Menelaus's duel

i mean it wasnt a 2 on 1 fight, it was 1 on 1.
but Menelaus was portrayed as well, a B**** and a jerk so i wasnt too upset
