Who plays Cassandra? (Safron Burrows?)

I wonder how they will work her prophecies into this? I suppose it's going to be portrayed realistically, with the whole Gods of Olympus thing being what they believe.

I also wonder how they will deal with the whole "Achilles is invincible" part of the story?

Is he just that good with sword and shield? I guess that's how they'd have to deal with it.

Saffron Burrows is playing Andromache. So far I haven't seen anything on Cassandra...hmmm...I'm wonder if that's one character we won't see. (I've seen some random ones already from the official site...Eudorus...Patroclu
s...Glaucus...no Cassandra yet)

Cassandra is not crucial to the central
war story but I hope they include her.
She is a Trojan seer, with a gift of
prophecy from Apollo. She is the only
one who knows that the big wooden
horse carries a threat, but no one
listens to her.

They move the wooden horse into
the city, thinking the Greeks have gone and left a peace offering. Troy is sacked from within.

I think you're forgetting Laocoon, though. He was suspicious of Sinon (Laocoon was not influnced by Cassandra b/c that was part of Apollo's gift) and threw a lance at the wooden horse - causing large serpents to come out of the sea and devour the priest and his sons.

It's Bruce!

What's 'Sweet'?
I've seen you do a lot of posts where you just type out 'Sweet'. So what's 'sweet' in this thread? Or are you just randomly adding posts to raise your post count.

Or if there is something that's 'sweet' in this thread, then at least you could add more to the conversation instead of leaving your thoughts to one word.

You're right about Laocoon as another
individual who was suspicious of the
Horse. I hope these rational types
are included in the story, and that
the film is not so focused on Brad Pitt's
new biceps and Orlando's eyes and
all the war action that they are ignored.

Cassandra and Laocoon are important
characters in the mythic narrative.

I still wish they had Cassandra in this film. She could have been a voice of reason that no one wanted to listen to, be a support for Hector, even protective and/or critical of Paris. Maybe Natalie Portman in the role.
