September 9, 2005 — The DVD release of the hit DreamWorks movie Madagascar will start with a multi-million dollar campaign. The DVD hits the streets on November 14.
DreamWorks Home Entertainment will launch an aggressive multimillion-dollar marketing push for the Nov. 15 release of Madagascar, with a bevy of promotional partners including movie-themed packaging throughout grocery aisles.
The studio has lined up a dozen partners including technology company Advanced Micro Devices, which will host the Madagascar contest Set Your Imagination Free, which will be promoted in all new HP desktop and notebook PC products. Consumers can enter to win a 14-day eco-tour trip for four to the real Madagascar. AMD will run Madagascar-themed ads in national magazines in November and December and promote the DVD at retail...
