Bruce Westbrook from the Houston Chronicle has a great article up on the computer animation marvels of DreamWorks SKG 'Madagascar'!

But during Madagascar's four years of creation, technology triumphed. Now thousands of delicate, brushy strands appear on the coats of escaped zoo animals and other beasts in the film, helping them look like the real thing - even if they do bounce and stretch like Silly Putty for comic effect.
