I am a huge animation fan and I am not at all excited about this film. The animation looks like it was rushed. By "block-art" the artists are able to save time. Look at the poor lighting and shadowing in the trailer.
On top of that, it just doesn't look as funny as Shrek or Aladin and not as exciting as Incredibles or Toy Story and it doesn't look as heart warming as Finding Iron Giant or Beauty and the Beast. It just looks as bad as Dreamworks' crappy animated tv show that is already off the air I think.
As an animation fan I hope I'm wrong. But my gut tells me the same thing it told me about Antz, Ferngully and Home on the Range...run away as fast as I can!
