Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World “"Far Side" so far away...” — CGee [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... As time goes on we seem to be getting a little more information surrounding this film. The Washington Post article on Aug 23 and now a mention in Sailing Magazine. Even with the little we know about it, it certainly seems to be a endeavor where all parties are trying to be as faithful to the novels and authentic to the period as possible. This attention to detail should make for an exciting finished product! As time goes by I would love to hear more about the making of the movie as well as how everyone involved tried to bring to life their own part of Patrick O'Brian's world.
