June 7, 2002 — Variety reports that John Ritter, who's headed back to series work on ABC with the sitcom "Eight Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter," will first reteam with his "Sling Blade" co-star Billy Bob Thornton in the Dimension comedy "Bad Santa."
Ritter will play a mall manager in the Terry Zwigoff-directed pic, joining Thornton and Bernie Mac in the ensemble.
