The Last Samurai “Very pleasing” — LordDanelo [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... First off, we have pretty good sword work, maybe the best I can recall seeing in a movie. Secondly, it just left you feeling satisfied. It didn't have me crying BS every five seconds. We know that they took some license with history..but left things were it was all moderately plausible. Thirdly, other than the blood and guts..this is a movie the kids could see. Now let's face it..we talk samuri we are talking decapitations..it's a violent movie. It could be a time for parents to teach their kids about other cultures. I don't believe that hiding things that exist from kids is good. If you talk to them about it before and after(assuming you know something yourself) really anything can be ok for them to see. I was glad to see they didn't throw in the gratutitous nude scenes or whatever they always seem to work in to movies these days it wasn't necessary to the plot.so..nuff said there.
