The Last Samurai “Incredibly Powerful” — coolpeachdust [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... I just caught a sneak preview of The Last Samurai tonight, and it was incredible! I can't stand Tom Cruise, but he was definitely watchable in this, and the movie was very well-directed by Edward Zwick. It was incredibly moving, and a great epic. It should be noted that Hans Zimmer's score really helped. He deserves an Oscar nod for this. I saw this and Master & Commander in the same day, and I liked this one better, even though you can't beat the performances in M&C by the amazing Russell Crowe and Paul Bettany. That was another great film. Go see The Last Samurai. It's well worth the price of admission. This is one that will stick with me for a long time. It's awesome.
