Tom Cruise arrived in New Zealand early this week to begin shooting The Last Samurai. His private plane jetted into New Plymouth, near where the movie is to be shot. Cruise was soon ferried to his $5000 a week rented mansion in the hills beneath Mt. Taranaki. Cruise was seen meeting rural neighbours and today attended a press conference in New Plymouth.
