I will call LXG the 'The Mummy Returns' of summer 2003. A lot can be criticized and they're plot holes big enough to drive a bus through, but it is an entertaining film that deserves to be seen. This is a movie that will still stand up to repeat viewing. It's got that quality of an old time matinee movie sorely missed in recent cinema. Also, the sequels could be very good now that the characters are established. I can envision a quantam leap dramatically in the next film, like from X-Men to X2. Let's hope we get to see the 'League' in action again.
