LXG was awesome and I can't wait for part II. I have no idea of what the critics were complaining about - maybe they drank a batch of haterade before the movie or wanted a bribe under the table to give a good review. Who knows??

First, I can't believe Eggbert (uh, I mean Roger Ebert) gave the movie 1 star. The movie had an interesting plot, a love triangle, good guys and bad guys, action scenes, cool CGI effects, and martial arts.

Second, the loudest critics didn't look at reality. Some folks have complained " a lot of the movie was cut or the characters weren't 100% true to the original literary characters".

Bullcrap! I don't know about you but if the movie didn't get cut - it would have been the length of a miniseries in the theatres. There's no way I'd see a movie that long. Also, playing around with the literary characters shows creativity.

In short, I'd gladly pay my money to see this film again and I hope there is a part II.

I'll also be happy to see this film kick some serious *** at the box office and prove the so-called "critics" (aka haters unless they're getting a bribe or some sort of freebie) wrong.

the way my system works:
If a critic gives a movie a bad review, then I go see it.
If they give it a good review, ITS CRAP!
Critics are very closed minded people. They go to a movie to basicly analyse every frame of the movie. HEY GUYS< ENJOY THE RIDE!!!.
I mean, when you ride a rollercoaster, do you just sit there and wonder how fast the ride goes, how high you are, how many G's you get? NO!! You sit there can enjoy the ride. The same concept should be used for movies. I think that we need some good critics out there that tell the truth.

If you were entertained, you will certainly speak positively. If it was just another Hollywood piece of pablum for the desensitized masses, you'll hate it.

I have not seen it, but I'm sure that Mr. Connery at least gives a decent performance. He's been in many "B" films, and still come off well.
