I thought overall the movie was good. I loved the set designs and the costumes. The way they did Mr. Hyde was so much better in my opinion then how Hulk was made. With having the actor actually on screen the character of Mr. Hyde felt more real.
I do feel like so many others that the fighting scenes were abit rush. And I wish the Invisible Man was in it more since I loved his wise cracking jokes. I was glad that they turned Mina into a vampire in the movie. In the comic she never said she was a vampire but she did keep her neck hidden.
Yes I did read the comic and LOVED it. But I knew not to enter the theater just thinking about the comic since I knew before hand that the movie would be different.
As for additions of Tom Sawyer and Dorian Gray. I think Tom sawyer's addition help us see a different side of Quatermain. Quatermain's fatherly side and also a dark past with the death of his son. Dorian Gray helped with Mina's character but also he had his own personality (not going to give this one away).
So if your going to say that this movie sucked EXPLAIN yourself more. I know I read that other thread and all that guy said was it suck and just two sent. to explain himself which he did not.
This movie has been getting mixed reviews which means you not just decided to go see this movie on the soul basic of a review, you have to go see it and see if you liked it or not.
As for me I deeply enjoyed it. Maybe it was because I been tracking this movie since the first trailer attached to daredevil. I loved the idea of different types of characters like that to come together. And now I must go find the vol.2 of the comic.
