This film sucked in every aspect of a movie. The CGI is awful. The is the worst comic book film this decade. Now, YOU TRY to tell me why I am wrong. Don't strain your brain, I AM RIGHT!

Come on EXPLAIN YOURSELF!

I came out of the movie and I almost loved it. I know the movie was not perfect but come one "it sucked". So I say your not right.

Ok I know that the fighting scenes were sowhat rushed. And that I think the Invisible Man should have gotten more screen time. But that is no way of saying it sucked.

The one thing that I loved about the movie was how they did Mr. Hyde. He was done a whole lot better that Hulk who was all CG. Mr. Hyde which if you didn't know was makeup. And I feel that if the actor is on screen that it makes it feel a whole lot more real that some bubble gum figure on the screen.

I am one of the people who did enjoyed seeing Mina as a vampire. I mean in the comic book they never said if she was a vampire but she did keep her neck covered all the time. Plus it the people will see why she was in the League. Like in the beginning when we first see her, Quatermain is asking why she was here.

Tom Sawyer's addition there to help show us a side of Quatermain that was rarely seen. It showed that Quatermain did have a soft side to him even with all his ruffness.

Dorian well he had his own personality. (not going to give that one away).

I was very happy on how the casting went. They all did well with their own characters. I loved their costume designs.

So overall how can u say that it sucked and not back it up. Two sent. is not backing yourself up.

yea i read the comic too and here are your answers
1) nope the invisible man does not kill a constable and take his clothes

2) they don't say that Mr. Hyde can see thermal

3)they don't say anything about an opuim addiction

4)they do say something any Nemo being a psycho but he does have great fight scenes but not much on the psycho part

5)Hyde eating his enemies nope don't remember any eating

I just saw the movie. In my opinion, it was a good movie.
I've never read the comics, wasn't familiar in the least with any of the characters, and still enjoyed it thoroughly.

Read the comic. The Invisible man is cmpletly nucking futs. Hyde sees in thermal vision, in the comic he can see The Invisible man, but denies it. Allan quartermain is found by Mina in a Opuim House at the begining of the book. Nemo is completly nucking futs, but the difference between him, Hyde, and Invisible man, is he's psycho towrds the British Masons ( Proffesser Moriarty [Sherlock holmes's arch nemesis] is the main villian in the comic). And Hyde eats people he is fighting hands, legs, and once or twice their heads. I suggest you read the comic, before, or after you see the movie (which i havnt yet!!). also i forgot to ask, is Campion Bond in the movie?

This was a great movie. I liked how Hyde went from an evil entity to good throughout the movie. I also liked Peta Wilson as Mina. There was something strangly erotic as she attacked those guys at Dorians place. I dont know.....thats just me. But, I do think that they should have had the invisible man in there just a little more.

Personally I thought the movie was great and I can't wait to see it again...of course I'm totally obsessed with the Irish Adonis Stuart Townsend..he was so sexy in LXG and was a great Dorian Gray...Also if anyone who saw the movie and liked Stuart's performance I highly recommend his other films like Resurrection Man, About Adam, Shooting Fish etc. his is truly a great actor and it's only a matter of time before everyone realizes it...I can't wait till his next film Head In the Clouds

Now having seen the movie, I can say that it lacks any kind of laws of physics at all, lacks any kind of knowledge of Venice at all. In short, it's kind of like a modern action filmed tacked onto a superhero film, tacked onto some kind of Victorian period piece.

I'm sorry to say, that I agree with the critics. The book was far superior. The film is forgettable.

This was my third favorite movie for the summer(1 being x2, and 2 being matrix:reloaded), bring on part 2 with the same cast, andtry to have the movie be set around the frist series (with soe chage of course).

I believe Champion Bond(and don't quote me on this) was not in the film because New Line Cinema would not let Fox use "Bond" because New Line Has the rights for "Bond."

I liked the movie, but the only complaint I have is about Mr. Hyde and the Huge red bulky Monster.

I could tell that Mr. Hyde is a guy in a costume and thats the problem. It looked too rubbery and his arms looked too stiff and it looked like he could barely move them. Plus, he looked like a gorilla man.

The big Bulkly monster that drank Mr. Hydes formula look a little too fake to me. The CG look a too smooth and the skin looked painted on.

I would like to compare the HYDE to THE HULK, Mr. Hyde looked an afully lot more REALISTIC in all of his movements than the HULK ever did. I never liked how the HULK looked too perfect, know what I mean? Mr. HYDE is more like a mutant, he's suppossed to look deformed-like, and not become a perfect physical specimen likt the HULK did.

I think Hulk was meant to be perfect. He's supposed to be human, an extremely large human. I nothing against Mr. Hyde, but it looks to much like a costume. I know Mr. Hyde is supposed to look the way he does, but they should have done a little more work on him.

The reason they didn't use the name Chamion Bond was because Sean Connery in his younger years was the first James Bond and a lot of people still refer to Sean as Mr. Bond. They used M instead of Bond because in the James Bond series Bond's boss was M and then the M came in handy later in the movie when the phantom's name is revealed Moriarty. Just thought I'd share that little tid bit...I hope it helped

Me too. I don't listen to critics and neither does my friend Gabby (who is mostly on the HP: PoA board). I don't think she's ever going to forgive Roger Ebert for giving "Moulin Rouge" a thumbs down.
