Okay, this is how i feel it should go and have since Alien 3 which in my opinion is a very UNDERATED film. Alot has had to change since the release of Alien resurection but here it goes.
Pickin up straight after Alien R, ripley and the crew of the Betty are unsure about returning to earth for 2 resons, they are afraid of being arrested for the desrtuction of the military ship and whatever destruction it caused on earth. They do return but keep out of detection. After a while in hiding, Ripley and Call decide to find out what the company who owned the ship knew of the aliens. They find out that the company knew of everything the reserch team found but it was all destroyed and now they want to find more aliens for the reserch, they want to locate the aliens home planet. Since the only connection to this inormation is LV 426 were Ripley and the crew of the Nostromo first came into contact with the alien, she, the servivors and Call hijack a craft along with other droids of the same make as call (only some made it out of the production line as we found out in Resurrection becouse they were to human), and one of them is modled on Charlse BISHOP Wyland(for good messure). Hoping they can find out the origin of the ship before the company.
They arrive at the reckage of the colony, well, the crater were it once was, from there they locate the alien craft as the distress/warning signal is still coming from it and are suprised to find it nearly unmarked by the nuclear blast and unchanged by time. Inside they find the pilot is near dust and the eggs are gone but uncover a hidden chamber with strange markings. After a long time trying to understand them the droids trigger a response from the ship. Fearing it to be a self-destruct system they escape only to find the ship is taking off, they get back to their ship and follow, now were headin into the unknown.
