| How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... |
|
Another Alien movie would be great as long as they don't mess it up like they did with AVP. AVP had a great story but the story itself along with the characters was highly underdeveloped. I still cannot believe that AVP was rated PG-13. Those idiots. I read an article that quoted Weaver as saying that she did not wish to return to earth yet. But if you remember the last Alien movie they crashed to earth at the end. I write screenplays and I partially completed an Alien V script but I scrapped the idea after AVP was announced. I was going to submit my script to the executives but I figured that AVP would've crushed any possibilities for an Alien V movie.
My story was as follows:
The government that funded the space experiments was secretly breading Aliens on earth in a facility burried deep with-in the earth. There they bread two different colonies with seperate queens and studied them (So they claim). Ripley, and the rest of the people with her, crashed near the facility and were subsequently detained because of a possible security breach. While under detainment and interrogation in the facility, all hell breaks loose. Somehow both hives break free and start fighting each other. Now Ripley, Call, the governments most elite group of soldiers and all remaining staff must fight their way through this colony war and make it back to the surface before a fail-safe is implimented and the entire facility is destroyed by a sub-nuclear explosion.
I thought the story was great but not just because I wrote it. It had plenty of eye-candy for action fans plus the story remained true to the original concepts. My favorite scene was when the two queens were fighting. If you've ever seen the discovery channel and watched as two queen bees duke it out then use your imagination for two Alien queens! Intense. Please respond to this review. Thanks.
