Here's something of interest from Filmink Magazine:

Ridley Scott talked to FILMINK magazine about that "Alien 5" rumour. Scott tells the magazine it's quite possible it will be his next movie - after a break. "I've been asked about Alien 5 and I said of course...I mean, I've started it off so I may as well close the door - if in fact this is meant to be the last one".
