A well-done fifth 'Alien' movie or a well-done third 'Aliens vs Predator'?

I'll go with Alien 5.

"I seek faith in the unfaithful just as you seek peace and atonement in a war-torn world."

"The common wit is not fair to middling."

"Laugh at me all you want, one day you'll all be kissing my feet."

"Young age is no excuse for poor taste."

"To be a prep is to be blissfully unaware of one's own mediocrity."

I'd like a well done Aliens 5 where the Aliens land on Earth.

I don't think it would be terribly interesting to have Aliens on Earth. It's not as compelling as the colony planet or the prison planet where it's only a small band of people against an army of aliens. That's why they scrapped the idea in 1991 because the good guys could easily just point and nuke where they nest. Instead of a small band of marines a whole army could take down aliens with all the machine guns they've got. The stakes wouldn't be high and there'd be no suspense.

The only way the concept of Aliens on Earth could work is if it's set in a different timeline, specifically pre-Industrial earth where people have to outwit the aliens without having to rely on machine guns.

But in the end, I don't think a new Alien flick could possibly reach the level the older films did, FOX already milked out what's worth in this franchise.

Sigourney Weaver has made it clear that Ridley Scott is still interested in being involved in a fifth film, at least as a producer and James Cameron has expressed interest in the past. As unrealistic or idealistic as it sounds, I hope Cameron comes back. Maybe Sigourney can coax him back into doing it while they're working on Avatar together.
I think we all deserve to see one last kickass 'Alien' movie before we die and Fox deserves a chance at redemption.

Alien 5

As much of the country is left stranded for Christmas due to a storm, I wonder what are their thoughts on the credibility of Global Warming? HAHA...

Been saying this for YEARS
