Alien vs. Predator “tooken for granted...” — genocyber [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: N/A How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... nothing entered yet Movie Review: My thoughts on this movie... First off,yes yes their could have been alot of things improved in this film but for people like me who look past this sort of thing see this film is a real piece of art.First off,it brought back the predators who were on the verge of suffering the Hollywood dime in the bucket remake scheme.This was the first time in almost 10 years the predator was introduced to audiences and they did a very good job on the makeup and gear. Not only did they go out of their way to give them new kinds of weapons but gave the predators a whole new look of a warrior hunter.It wasn't quite the original but it did make them look like powerful forces. Now the aliens,they did a wonderful job here with them.They made them look how they did in Alien 1 which has been the fan favorite.In the previous alien films they were never completely black but reddish or a different chrome color.Not to mention they brought back the queen who was a waste of time in Resurrection and had her kick some ass. They actually used the original prop sculpt for the queen alien from Aliens since the one from Resurrection was broken and that was all they could salvage.The animatronics were incredible.Smooth flowing motions and no jerky puppet movements. I feel this shouldn't be compared to the comics nor the previous films but as a movie on its own.I admit the action scenes in the pyramid were abit sloppy but hey,thats why we got part 2 on the way! DVD Review: Thoughts on the DVD release of this movie... the dvd itself was pretty mediocre on extras and the deleted scenes were not really worth the time at all.. I would have liked to have the actors who played the preds talk about their roles and what it was like making the movie. Was this review any good? Vote YES or NO! | Edit (Author only)
